Kept for over 7 million years in the heart of the hills of Castrocaro, the sulfurous and salsobromoiodic waters of the Terme di Castrocaro come from the Beatrice and Bolga springs, surrounded by unspoiled nature.

Rich in mineral salts, bromine, iodine, and sulfur, they have a natural toning and balancing action on the skin, improving microcirculation and cell turnover.

After a period of maturation ranging from six to nine months, the mature mud obtained, called "of velvet" due to its fineness and creaminess, is ready to be used.

It contains the decisive properties for releasing its maximum therapeutic potential.

The mud gives a pleasant sensation of velvet on the skin. Due to its swelling capacity, mature mud is finally a powerful thermotherapeutic means with the unparalleled advantage of releasing heat with slow progression: its beneficial actions on the tissues will thus be effective for the entire duration of the application.

The history of the Terme di Castrocaro dates back to 1830 when a doctor officially registered the presence of salsobromoiodic and sulfurous mineral waters.

In the next century, the massive expansion works led to the inauguration of the "State-owned Thermal Establishment" in 1938.

The Italian state expanded the complex in the 70s and 90s with new facilities dedicated to traditional spa treatments and specialized centers for treating rhinogenic deafness and peripheral vascular disease and motor rehabilitation.

In 2003 GVM Care & Research, one of the most important Italian private healthcare groups, entered the management of the Terme di Castrocaro.

In the following years, GVM Care & Research, with a progressive and constant investment, made the whole complex of the Castrocaro Spa a state-of-the-art center in wellness and thermal treatments.

Today, along with the Thermal SPA, we also have a Medical Thermal Clinic accredited by the National Health Service and a Center for advanced rehabilitation.
